Shy Prince George and smiley Princess Charlotte steal the show as royals arrive in Poland

The royal family arrived in Poland on Monday, and as expected, all eyes were on Prince George, who turns 4 on Saturday, and Princess Charlotte, 2.

Before even getting off the plane in the rain, the brother and sister stole our hearts by peering their cute little faces out of the window. Once they disembarked, Charlotte seemed to warm up the attention rather quickly in the comfort of her mother's arms (she waved and even extended her arm for a handshake), while George appeared to be more skeptical of the whole situation, as his father can be seen urging him to deplane.

Prince William also periodically bent down to little George's level, presumably to make sure he was not too overwhelmed.

See the adorable moments for yourself:

Prince George sported his classic navy, belted shorts with a checkered shirt, while Princess Charlotte wore a red, floral dress and matching red shoes (Prince William matched her theme with his tie). Duchess Kate looked as polished as ever in a white skirt and jacket by Alexander McQueen. She paired the crisp suit with her go-to heels: Gianvito Rossi in suede praline.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be touring Poland and Germany with their little ones for five days. The couple is expected to attend a Young Entrepreneur's Reception and Garden Party (in honor of the queen) on Monday evening.

In honor of his upcoming birthday, here are the absolute cutest photos of Prince George:
