Will Camilla Parker Bowles get the title of Queen?

Prince Charles might be slightly more of a rebel than you'd believe.

Author Sally Bedell Smith told People that she thinks Charles will disregard the intricacies of British nobility and and give Camilla Parker Bowles the title of "Queen" when he comes king.

That may seem like a given, since Charles is next in line to be king and she's, you know, his wife.

However, when they tied the knot in 2005, Camilla was named Duchess of Cornwall, not Princess of Wales -- because the title was kind of already taken by the late Princess Diana (and they were trying not to rock the boat).

At the time, they said Camilla would be known as "The Princess Consort" if her husband "accedes to The Throne." Therefore, it gets kind of murky as to whether her title should be elevated to "Queen" if Charles takes the throne, but Bedell Smith thinks he's going to do it anyway.

With that said, though the author says the pair "fudged" common law and tradition when they got married, she adds, "Most of the constitutional experts agree that by common law and tradition she is entitled to be Queen."

So Charles might want to go out and get himself a red bomber jacket -- because he's kind of a royal rebel without a cause.
