People are claiming the new Peeps Oreos have some very gross side effects

Oreo's limited edition Easter flavor hit stores last month, and while the jury is still out on the festive cookie's taste, people have begun to raise concerns about some unsavory effects the treats have had on their bodies.

If Twitter users are to be believed, Peeps Oreos can turn your poop the same bright hue as the cookie's creme filling.

On a slightly less disturbing level, the cookies are also said to turn consumers' tongues a lovely neon pink.

The Junk Food Guy, who samples all different kinds of bizarre new snacks, even reported having pink saliva after trying the festive treats, according to GrubStreet.

"Dude, the creme turned my saliva bright pink! BRIGHT PINK!" he wrote of his experience. "This is sort of horrifying – this is the type of food dye where an hour later, when I went to brush my teeth, IT TURNED MY TOOTHBRUSH PINK. What the heck. WHAT THE HECK."

Honestly, what did you expect from a cookie loaded with enough neon dye to headline at Coachella?
