Ralph & Russo Spring/Summer 2017: A mystical transformation

Compared to the likes of Chanel, Louis Vuitton and even Givenchy, Ralph and Russo is quite young. Founded in 2007 by Tamara Ralph and MIchael Russo, it became the first British brand in over 100 years to be selected for Paris Haute Couture Week.

We can see why.

Ralph and Russo's Spring/Summer 2017 Haute Couture line effortlessly juggles red carpet style with fashionable day wear. The brand, for one of the first times, tackled women's wear: suits and blazers all had scalloped edges and formal fits. As for the more casual dresses, the models donned metallic headbands.

"The women of today have so many different faces, and so many women inspire us collectively, we really wanted to focus on women's empowerment and offer something for everybody," commented Ralph on it's clientele, according to Vogue.

Even though the house is only a decade old, their knack for appealing to Hollywood's A-listers is evident through their stunning line of formal and evening dresses. Many of these silhouettes showcased fringe, pearls and flowers, deep neck plunges and thigh-high slits. Sheer, mystical and flowy dresses were also prominent.

Ending the show were magnificent tulle dresses, reminiscent of old Hollywood glamour. Focusing on reds and blacks (and the occasional spring-oriented lilac) the line prioritized strapless and halter necklines, all of which balanced simplicity and elegance.

They're so gorgeous, we want them all.
