Updated

For more than 40 years, Lida Orzeck and Gale Epstein have been running the lingerie brand, "Hanky Panky."

Inspired by a lingerie set Epstein made out of hankies as a gift to Orzeck for her birthday, the company today has transformed to a household name, with women across the country wearing their hankies with pride! In fact, there's even a Hanky Panky handshake.

While the two women initially started the business with no plans, it has amassed to a highly-popular brand and has inspired women around the world. "Seeing two women who started in business, didn't really have a business plan -- it just kind of happened. And, 40 years later, they're still standing and they've built an empire," their head designer Makeda Scille describes. "I really respect them," she adds.

Although both Orzeck and Epstein are very proud of their success and the brand they've built, they have no plans of settling down anytime soon. "I hope I never have to retire. It keeps the mind nimble," says Epstein.
