Instagram is undoubtedly one of the most influential social media platforms when it comes to content visibility and interaction potential.

By simply using a trending hashtag in the caption of a post, or by tagging a photo or video at a specific location, your post can be seen by millions of users all over the world.

Nat Geo WILD is hoping to do just that by allowing aspiring videographers to use Instagram to enter to win what might be the best grand-prize we've ever heard of – an all-expenses paid trip to Africa.

The fourth annual Wild To Inspire contest offers experienced and amateur travel filmmakers alike the chance to have their work discovered and shared globally.

Three finalists will have their films screened at the Sun Valley Film Festival in Sun Valley, Idaho and one grand-prize winner will receive a National Geographic sponsored trip to Africa to continue to explore and share the gift of the great outdoors.

Executive VP and GM of Nat Geo WILD, Geoff Daniels, explained in a press release:

"It's only through the incredible storytellers behind the camera that we're able to take our viewers inside some pretty wild places. Being able to support and provide a platform for the next generation of filmmakers who have the same passion for nature and wildlife as we do is extremely rewarding."

To enter, Instagram users simply upload their videos to their accounts with the hashtag #WildToInspireContest until the submission period closes on February 15.

Videos are limited to one minute, but filmmakers can enter as many submissions as they'd like.

Finalists will be announced on February 27.

So, what are you waiting for? Get outside, get wild and get posting!
