Princess Charlotte escorted by Kate, William and George for first day of school: Photos!

It's official: Princess Charlotte is a student!

The pint-sized royal showed up to Thomas's Battersea school in London on Thursday morning for her first ever day of school, where she was escorted by mom, Kate Middleton, dad, Prince William, and brother, Prince George, who was already a student at the luxe private school.

The 4-year-old held Duchess Kate's hand as she walked alongside her brother while entering the school just before 8:30 a.m. local time. For his part, George, 6, looked at ease as he made funny faces and held William's hand as he returned to school, eager to reunite with his classmates. Charlotte adorably waved to photographers before entering the school.

"First day," Prince William said as they walked in. "Very excited."

Both George and Charlotte wore the school's navy-and-red uniforms, with George wearing shorts and a V-neck sweater and Charlotte wearing a skirt and a cardigan. The Cambridges' only daughter put a fun touch on her navy backpack with a sparkling unicorn keychain, too!

The foursome -- who left their youngest, Prince Louis, 16 months, back at home for the outing -- was all smiles as they approached the school and shook hands with head teacher Helen Haslem, who shook George and Charlotte's hands when they arrived. The fourth in line to the British thrown stood on her tippy-toes to meet Haslem.

This school year marks George's third at the $23,000-a-year school. Back in September 2017, he was memorably escorted by his father for his first day. His mother was unable to join them, as she was suffering from intense morning sickness while pregnant with Louis. It was announced in late August that Kate would be joining them this time around.

For the outing on Thursday, Kate wore a tea-length floral Michael Kors dress with long sleeves and black pumps while seemingly sporting a new hairdo. William wore chinos, a light blue button-down and a linen blazer. Both parents carried their kids' backpacks into the school.

Charlotte is in a class of 21 (one of three classes in her year) is expected to study computing, French, art, drama and ballet, in addition to her core studies this semester, and she will reportedly be known as Charlotte Cambridge to her fellow students and teachers (shortening Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge).

Good luck at school, Charlotte!
