Grammy-winning country star Maren Morris never got Simon Cowell's seal of approval, but that's certainly not keeping her up at night.

During an appearance on "Watch What Happens Live," Morris was asked by a caller about her past rejections from "American Idol" and "The Voice."

"You were rejected from both of those shows?" a surprised Andy Cohen pressed.

"Oh yeah, that's not even it," Morris replied. "I was rejected from 'America's Got Talent' -- there were a ton I didn't make it to. Thank God!"

The singer, 28, added, "Now people cover my songs for their auditions on those shows, so it's like, not only is it really nice to have my song on a national television show, [but] I get to collect the check and have some sweet revenge."

Morris shot to fame in 2016 with the release of her debut single, "My Church."

Her second album, "GIRL," was just released this month, helping Morris break the record for the largest streaming week for a country studio album by a woman. "GIRL" garnered a whopping 24 million streams in its first week available, making it the biggest country streaming week of 2019 so far for a male or female artist.
