Maren Morris' 'GIRL' just broke a massive streaming record

Maren Morris is breaking records.

The Grammy-winning country star released her sophomore album, "GIRL," on March 8, and the album subsequently broke the record for the largest streaming week for a country studio album by a woman. "GIRL" garnered a whopping 24 million streams in its first week available, making it the biggest country streaming week of 2019 so far for a male or female artist.

In addition, the album debuted at No. 4 on the Billboards 200 and No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.

"I am blown away by the support this week," Morris, who is currently on the North American leg of her GIRL World Tour, said in a statement. "My fans were already screaming the lyrics at the show the day after the album came out. I am so shocked and thankful to have broken this record for country music!"

The singer also celebrated the milestone achievement with a celebratory Instagram post.

"Thank you for one of the best weeks of my life," she captioned the post. "I’m truly grateful I get to do this with y’all and I can’t fully process this news."
