Bob Saget stays silent on Lori Loughlin college admissions scandal on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'

A scheduling coincidence nearly made for an uncomfortable interview on Tuesday's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," but Kimmel and guest Bob Saget conspicuously avoided the biggest headline of the day.

Saget was already slated to appear on Kimmel's show when news broke of Lori Loughlin's alleged involvement in a nationwide college admissions cheating scandal. And when the show kicked off, Kimmel didn't hold back on the topic in his opening monologue, devoting several minutes to the subject.

"Loughlin allegedly got her daughters into USC through the rowing team, even though her daughter had never rowed a boat," he said before showing a fake doctored photo of Loughlin's daughter Olivia rowing on a lake. "How the school fell for these Photoshops, I don't know."

But when Saget sat down for his chat with Kimmel, the conversation didn't edge anywhere near the scandal.

Saget did, however, talk about his recent wedding, which several of his co-stars attended as guests.

"John Stamos, of course, was there just trying to show us he's better-looking" than the bride, Saget joked.

Saget and Loughlin's names have been linked more than three decades: The two first started working together on "Full House" in 1987, and in 2016 they became co-stars again in the rebooted "Fuller House."

Loughlin turned herself in to the FBI on Wednesday.
