Jed Allan, 'Beverly Hills, 90210' actor and soap star, dies at 84

Another "Beverly Hills, 90210" actor has passed away.

Jed Allan died at the age of 84, his son Rick Brown announced on Facebook on Saturday.

"So sorry to post the very sad news of my fathers passing tonight," Rick Brown wrote. "He died peacefully and was surrounded by his family and loved so much by us and so many others."

"Thank you for all who are part of this wonderful tribute to my dad on Facebook," he added to his social media post.

Allan played Steve Sanders’ dad, Rush Sanders, on "Beverly Hills, 90210," Don Craig on "Days of Our Lives" and "C.C. Capwell on "Santa Barbara." He also appeared in "General Hospital," "Lassie" and "The Secret Storm."

His death comes six days after fellow "90210" star Luke Perry died at the age of 52 after suffering a "massive" stroke.

Ian Ziering, who also appeared on the long-running hit show, took to Instagram to pay tribute to Allan following news of his death.

"So sad to hear we've lost another 90210 castmate," he wrote. "I had the pleasure of working with Jed Allan from 94 to 99. He played Rush Sanders, Steve's father. Such a great guy to work with, he will be missed."

Allan is survived by his three sons that he shared with wife Toby Brown, who died in 2001.
