The rest of the opening monologue showed a montage of Trump’s most turbulent interviews. as well as footage of "celebrations" all over the world. Instead of openly insulting Trump, Kimmel and his famous friends’ mockery included a number of skits praising the president

The first was Josh Gad, dressed as undecided voter Ken Bone. "I owe Trump everything...I'm a celebrity now. People recognize me on the street, and I was even offered to play a pedophile on 'Law & Order: SVU,'" Gad said.

Then a musical group called Up With Trump came on stage to sing their rendition of "Mr. Sandman.” Dressed in shiny blue suits and disheveled wigs, the troop serenaded the audience, “Mr. tan man, send me a tweet.”

The show continued with a skit Trump added on Mount Rushmore, an interview with Trump’s father’s ghost and a sketch of Donald Jr. and Eric hunting for the perfect gift for their father. Finally, Aloe Blacc ended the night with an anthem to our president, “Great Again.”
