Everything Chrissy Metz and Alison Brie have said about that Golden Globes 'b--ch' tape

Clearing the air.

Chrissy Metz and Alison Brie want everyone to know that it's all good between them after footage of Metz seemingly referring to Brie as "such a b--ch" went viral during Sunday night's Golden Globes.

In fact, both of them are claiming that the entire thing is just one big misunderstanding.

During the ceremony, as the clip made headlines around the world, the "This Is Us" actress took to Twitter to deny that the moment from a live-streamed Facebook interview from the red carpet showed her making the comment.

"It’s terribly unfortunate anyone would think much less run a story that was completely fabricated!" she wrote. "I adore Alison and would never say a bad word about her, or anyone! I sure hope she knows my heart."

Meanwhile, Vanity Fair writer Nicole Sperling tweeted that she asked Brie about Metz's supposed name-calling, and the "GLOW" actress was confused by it.

"Just asked Alison Brie about this," Sperling tweeted from inside the show. "She had not heard about Metz’s comments and seemed very confused by the entire matter. 'But why?,' she asked. 'I know her. I saw her on the carpet and I told her how beautiful she looked.'"

After the show, both Metz and Brie doubled down on their claims that everything is fine between them.

Brie posted a photo on her Instagram story of herself posing with Metz at the 2018 SAG Awards with the caption, "Nothing but love for @chrissymetz!! Rumors can't keep us down!"

In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, whose since-deleted story Metz initially responded to on Twitter, the actress said that they "obviously are friends" and that they've "already texted about" the drama.

"It’s unfortunate people want to say stuff that they don’t know is true or not. Alison and I obviously are friends," she explained. "She knows that I would never say something like that."

"It’s kind of terrible. So I’m glad that … I mean, I know the truth," she went on. "If you actually listen to the video, I don’t say anything. It’s actually not me speaking about that, so it’s unfortunate."

Meanwhile, AJ Gibson, who was one of the co-hosts that Metz was speaking to when she uttered the viral comment, told Page Six that he thinks that the actress called Brie a "babe" -- not a "b--ch" -- during the interview.

"I was standing on stage with Chrissy and thought she called Alison a babe," he said. "Chrissy is one of the kindest women in Hollywood and is so supportive of other talented women. If she did happen to use the ‘other’ word, I promise it was 1,000 percent a joke."

And there you have it -- no bad blood between Chrissy Metz and Alison Brie!
