Thomas Markle watched the royal wedding, and he wishes he could've been there.

Meghan Markle's father was unable to attend his daughter's wedding on Saturday to walk her down the aisle, but he told TMZ that he watched her nuptials to Prince Harry live and loved every second of it.

"My baby looks beautiful and she looks very happy," he reportedly said. "I wish I were there and I wish them all my love and all happiness."

He added that he was "emotional and joyful" watching the ceremony.

Meghan married Harry on Saturday morning in an hour-long ceremony attended by mother Doria Ragland, the British royal family and a slew of A-list celebrities like Serena Williams, George and Amal Clooney, James Corden and David and Victoria Beckham.

Doria accompanied Meghan as they left Cliveden House Hotel on Saturday morning in a Rolls Royce, but switched cars before arriving at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle on her own.

Thomas suffered a heart attack two weeks ago and underwent heart surgery on Wednesday morning. He remains in the hospital recovering from the ordeal, which happened amid an international controversy around paparazzi photos that he staged ahead of the royal wedding.

At the request of Meghan, Prince Charles walked her down the aisle in place of her father, Thomas. She and Harry reportedly called Thomas on Thursday night before the palace announced Charles' role on Friday morning.
