Where is Meghan Markle? Future princess takes trip ahead of royal wedding

Updated

Meghan Markle is spending some time at home with her mother ahead of her upcoming royal wedding.

With less than a month to go until she marries Prince Harry, the former "Suits" actress flew back to Los Angeles to spend some time with her mother, Doria Ragland, E! News reports.

The outlet cites a source that confirms Markle secretly flew to L.A. last week without Harry and has been enjoying quality time with her mother and other close friends during her last trip to the United States before she gets married.

"Meghan is keen to include her mom as much as possible in the wedding plans," a source told E! News. "So spending time with her was the perfect chance to bring her up to speed on all the wedding details. Meghan wants her mom to experience all of this with her. It's such an exciting time for her and Harry."

Markle's trip to Los Angeles comes as Ragland plans an "extended trip" to London ahead of her daughter's nuptials, where she'll reportedly walk her down the aisle.

"Being in London will also be her first chance to see the amazing wedding gown up close!" an insider told E!.

Markle's father will also reportedly be in attendance when she gets married on May 19 at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. Page Six reported last month that, "even if he has to battle his demons," Markle's notoriously private father, Thomas Markle Sr., will be there.

"He's not exactly thrilled at facing the world's gate," a source claimed. "He lives a reclusive life in Mexico."
