Megyn Kelly’s former makeup artist claims she makes female staffers cry

"Today" show co-host Megyn Kelly may be all for the #MeToo movement in front of the cameras, but according to an inside source close to the anchor, she’s not for women behind the scenes.

Iren Halperin, a FOX News makeup artist for 20 years who retired in 2016 but worked with Kelly back in 2009, told Page Six Kelly is "extremely mean and rude to women" who work on "Megyn Kelly Today."

"She's disrespectful," she said. "She's not for women. She's extremely mean and rude to women."

Halperin recounted an incident in which Kelly tried to kick another female reporter out of a makeup chair so she could be done first. Halperin also said the host would lie to management to get her way. Two makeup artists -- including her -- requested to be assigned to different anchors at the network after negative interactions with Kelly.

Sources at NBC also told the Daily Mail that Kelly runs a tense set, with some staffers frequently leaving in tears.

"She is hated inside the ‘Today’ show and is seen as tarnishing the brand, out-of-control and selfish," an NBC source told Page Six of the star, who NBC paid a reported $23 million to bring to their network. "The general feeling is that she will not last three years."

Another source says the claims made by the former make up artist are "totally garbage."

"Megyn Kelly Today" has been struggling to connect with the daytime viewers in an "Oprah way," but some say the former Fox anchor is just not warm enough for the job. Case in point? Her ratings are nearly 30 percent lower than Tamron Hall and Al Roker's were in the same 9 a.m. time slot just last year.
