Meghan Markle's secret charitable move proves she's taking a page from Princess Diana's book

Updated

Meghan Markle has been pulling a page from Princess Diana recently by making secret charitable visits to victims of a recent crisis.

According to the Telegraph, Markle secretly visited the Al Manaar community mosque to comfort victims of the heartbreaking Grenfell Tower fire, which killed 71 people in London last summer.

The outlet reports that she appeared at the mosque with just one security guard and one royal aide, requiring little fanfare. There are no photographs of her visit.

Prince William, Prince Harry and even the Queen paid more high-profile visits to the mosque last fall.

As the Telegraph points out, Markle's low-key charitable efforts echo what her fiancé Prince Harry's late mother, Princess Diana, used to do by paying secret visits to the homeless while residing in Kensington Palace.

A source told the paper that "Meghan has been regularly making private visits to organizations as she gets to know the U.K. charity sector."

It's an impressive move for the former "Suits" actress, who is still becoming acclimated to her newfound role as a future princess.

She's set to marry Prince Harry on May 19 at Windsor Castle.
