Inside Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle's budding friendship

Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are set to become sisters-in-law when Markle and Prince Harry tie the knot in May.

But according to People, the two have already started leaning on each other.

A source close to the former "Suits" star says Meghan is "funny and serious and extremely hard-working" and that Kate will find a great friend in her.

The two, despite both being 36 years old, experienced different upbringings and their roads to royalty have been quite different.

Kate met William at St. Andrews University when she was 19 years old, while Meghan enjoyed an established career as an actress and has even been through a divorce, back in 2013.

And their relationship is already being compared to Princess Diana and Sarah, Duchess of York -- also known as Fergie -- who got along famously well when they married royals around the same time.

Diana married Prince Charles, while Fergie married Prince Andrew.
