Will Matt Lauer's wife Annette Roque seek a divorce? Latest move seems to hint at her intentions

Matt Lauer's wife, Annette Roque, has reportedly been meeting with lawyers as she considers divorcing her husband of 19 years.

Page Six reported on Wednesday night that Roque has been "meeting with lawyers about squeezing a bigger settlement out of [Lauer] if they proceed to a divorce." She was spotted enterting the office of law firm Latham & Watkins in New York City on Wednesday.

Lauer was fired from the "Today" show at the end of November after NBC News received an internal complaint about "inappropriate sexual behavior" on Lauer's behalf. Since his firing, a handful of other allegations of sexual misconduct have surfaced against Lauer, and former "Today" production assistant Addie Zinone detailed her alleged month-long affair with the anchor in Variety and on "Megyn Kelly Today."

Of course, this isn't the first time that Roque has considered divorcing her husband. Back in 2006, she went so far as to file for divorce from Lauer, citing "mental abuse, extreme mental and emotional distress, humiliation, torment and anxiety." A few weeks later, though, Roque withdrew her filing.

A source told Page Six that she withdrew after Lauer "offered her a post-nuptial agreement and millions more dollars."

"The post-nup will likely specify how much Annette would get it they divorce," the source said recently. "But she is expected to challenge it given Matt's earnings since 2006, and given how much he has humiliated her. There are also issues over all the property and land they own, both in the Hamptons and abroad."

While Roque considers divorcing her husband, sources say that Lauer is "fighting to save [his] marriage."

"He doesn't want a divorce," a source told People. "Both of them, their first thought is their children."

Despite their different mindsets about the future of their marriage, both Roque and Lauer have stopped wearing their weddings rings, as evidenced by photos taken of both of them since Lauer's firing.

"The kids are noticing this, but they're being very open about this and explaining everything," a source told People.

Matt Lauer and Annette Roque share three children together -- Jack, 16, Romy, 14, and Thijs, 11.
