Kate Hudson is celebrating one year since her first date with boyfriend Danny Fujikawa, and she's sharing some never-before-known details about their romance in the process.

The 38-year-old actress took to Instagram over the weekend to commemorate the milestone with a photo of herself kissing Fujikawa on a hike in the Los Angeles area with a dog.

In her lengthy caption, Hudson revealed that she's actually known her boyfriend for 13 years, despite having only dated for a year now.

"The first time I met Danny I was 23 and enormously pregnant with Ryder," she said of her son, 13, that she shares with ex Chris Robinson. "His step sisters are my best friends @sarafoster @erinfoster and so it goes we have been in the same circle for over a decade!"

"A year ago today Danny took me on a hike and what I thought was just a hike with a family friend turned very quickly into an unexpected first date," she continued. "No moves were made on this first date. In fact, it took months for him to make a first move!"

"And as a kiss on this bridge would have been nice, the kiss a year later was so much sweeter," Hudson went on. "So on our 15th year of knowing each other we were able to open our hearts to each other to feel so much pure love and it’s been truly incredible.! ❤️ Happy first date anniversary baby. #LoveThisMan 🙏 #WhatAYear"

Hudson and Fujikawa made their red carpet debut at the premiere of mom Goldie Hawn's film "Snatched" in May, a couple months after first being seen canoodling in New York City. In addition to sharing Ryder with ex Robinson, Hudson is also mother to Bingham, 6, who she shares with Matt Bellamy.
