Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin blasts 'prostitution ring' claims

Updated

Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin is speaking out against claims made by a former member.

After Kaya Jones alleged that the girl group was a “prostitution ring,” Antin, 56, reacted in an interview with The Blast.

Antin called Jones' claims “disgusting, ridiculous lies," alleging that the former Pussycat Dolls member is "clearly looking for her 15 minutes" while insisting that she was never an official member of the group to begin with.

Antin founded the dance troupe back in 1995, and the group saw massive success in the mid-2000s when it was fronted by Nicole Scherzinger and churned out hits like "Don't Cha," "Buttons" and "Stickwitu."

A source told The Blast that the group’s lawyer was drafting a letter threatening potential legal action against Jones, 33, for the claims.

Jones made the allegations on Twitter -- appearing to reference Antin in one tweet, which read:

“I want the den mother from hell to confess why another 1 of her girl group girls committed suicide? Tell the public how you mentally broke us.”

The tweet seemingly references the 2014 death of Simone Battle, a member of another girl group founded by Antin called GRL.

In another tweet, Jones wrote, “To be a part of the team you must be a team player. Meaning sleep with whoever they say.”

This comes as a verified Instagram account for the Pussycat Dolls teased a reunion in early October.
