'Real Housewives of Atlanta' star Phaedra Parks reportedly fired after spreading shocking rape lie

"Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Phaedra Parks has reportedly been fired from the franchise.

According to TMZ, Parks won't be returning to the hit show's tenth season after spreading shocking lies about fellow cast member Kandi Buruss and her husband Todd Tucker's alleged plot to drug and rape Porsha Williams.

The allegations came to a head on Sunday night's part four of the Season 9 reunion special, which resulted in an explosive argument between Buruss, Parks and Williams. After it was revealed that it was Parks who had started the rumor (she claims she heard it from someone else), host Andy Cohen called a recess so that the women could sort out some of the drama and simmer down.

Though Parks apologized for spreading the rumor, it was clearly too little too late.

TMZ reported on Monday that Bravo "felt like Phaedra's allegations were so out of line, they couldn't couldn't continue working with her." Additionally, Parks was constantly could lying about the status of her marriage to Apollo Nida, who is in prison.

Phaedra Parks was a cast member on "Real Housewives of Atlanta" for seven seasons after joining in Season 3.
