Prince Harry channels late mother Princess Diana as he reunites with terminally-ill boy

Prince Harry visited a terminally-ill little boy at a hospital this week that he had met last year -- and we can't help but see the similarities to his late mother, Princess Diana.

The 32-year-old British royal paid Ollie Carroll, 6, a surprise visit at the Great Ormond Street Hospital on Tuesday, and it was an emotional moment for both of them. Carroll suffers from Battens Disease, a rare genetic condition without a cure, and is unlikely to live past the age of 12.

The pair had previously met at the WellChild Awards in London back in October of 2016. Harry also spent time with Ollie's sister Amelia, 3, who also suffers from the disease.

Photos from the visit made the rounds on Friday, and one photo of Harry holding Ollie harkens back to Princess Diana's visit to a hospital in Lahore, Pakistan back in 1996 -- one year before her tragic death -- where she was famously photographed cradling a young cancer patient.

The likeness demonstrates the impact that Princess Diana's charity work had on her children, William and Harry. Both of her sons have been very involved in giving back over the years and are outspoken about the influence their late mother has had on their desire to make the world a better place.

"She wanted to give so much love and give so much care to people who really needed it," William once said of his beloved mother.

"I hope she'd be incredibly proud of what we managed to achieve," Harry echoed.
