"Property Brothers" star Jonathan Scott's first marriage isn't something that most of his fans are aware of.
The 38-year-old contractor married airline-crew scheduler Kelsy back in 2007 before getting divorced two years later. Now, the HGTV hunk is opening up about the ordeal.
"We were young, and there was a rush going into it," he told People. "She wanted to get married on 07/07/07, so it wasn't something that naturally happened."
Their quick-moving romance resulted in the Vancouver native uprooting from Canada to Las Vegas, where he still resides a decade later.

Now, Jonathan is happy with his "beautiful partner," Scott Entertainment development producer Jacinta Kuznetsov, and looks back on his whirlwind first marriage as a learning experience.
"I think that one of the biggest things I learned is that you can have two good people who are just not good for each other," he explained to People. "I'm glad that we found that out early. You know, we didn't have kids or anything. And it really helped me understand what I wanted in a relationship."
"I don't think I would be in the position where I am now if I didn't have the experiences I've had in the past," he continued.
Indeed, Jonathan Scott told the magazine that he's "never been happier" than he is right now. Just last week, the "Property Brothers" star shared a slideshow of cute images to honor his one-year anniversary of dating Kuznetsov.
"Wow, it's been a year," he captioned the clip full of photos of his girlfriend. "I never knew I could laugh & love this much."
