The ad shows Styles rocking shorter hair as he walks towards a light-filled open door in a wet shirt. At the end of the 30-second spot, his green eyes gaze into the camera before "April 7" flashes on the screen. The date, which is much sooner than expected, is the supposed release date for his debut solo single.

Rumors had been swirling for months about the rollout plan for Styles' solo material. After all, almost all of his One Direction bandmates have already released solo projects. Zayn, the only member to actually leave the group, released his solo single "PILLOWTALK" last spring ahead of his first solo album, while Louis Tomlinson recently teamed up with Steve Aoki for "Just Hold On" and Niall Horan released "This Town" recently.

Liam Payne has yet to release any official solo material, though he did welcome his first son with Cheryl Cole over the weekend.

Styles' music will be released through Columbia Records, with whom he signed a solo deal last year. He'll make his acting debut in the upcoming film "Dunkirk," as well.
