'Flip or Flop' stars Tarek and Christina El Moussa seek help of life coach

Tarek and Christina El Moussa are seeking the help of a life coach amid their very public split.

The "Flip or Flop" stars met with Tim Story for an intimate dinner in Orange County, according to TMZ. There are no plans to reconcile and get back together, but it was Tarek's idea to talk about their split with Story.

And if there's anyone that can help the estranged couple, it's Story. He has quite the client roster -- having previously worked with Kanye West, Charlie Sheen and Christian Slater.

The HGTV couple announced their split in January, and their breakup has taken several nasty turns since then.

News of Tarek's alleged secret affair with their two children's nanny, who was 23 at the time, surfaced right after their divorce announcement. He revealed earlier this month that he actually dated her for a bit:

"I did date her for a month," he said. "I was going through a tough time, and she's amazing. I never held hands with her around the kids, though. Now I'm not dating anyone specifically. It will be a long time before I'm in a relationship."

His estranged wife recently broke up with family contractor Gary Anderson, who they both worked with on their show. Tarek admitted a couple weeks back that the romance bothered him, at first, but now he's over it: "I've totally moved on."

Christina and Tarek have also candidly told their respective sides to the story in separate interviews.

Tarek revealed on "Today" that he was also told he had testicular cancer shortly after his thyroid cancer diagnosis in 2013. In a later interview with "The Doctors," he admitted that terrible communication amid his cancer battle and their rise to fame contributed to the end of their relationship.

Similarly, Christina confessed to People that she experienced health issues of her own -- a miscarriage. Just like Tarek's cancer, her miscarriage added strain to their marriage.

"It was too soon for me," she said. "I was overwhelmed. The tension between me and Tarek was high. [...] We weren't able to properly communicate anymore. It got to the point where we weren't even driving to set together."

The couple have continued working on their HGTV show, which has gained phenomenal ratings since their divorce announcement.
