Katy Perry wears head-scratching metallic gown at the 2017 GRAMMYs

Katy Perry stepped out on Sunday night in an out-of-this-world metallic dress at the 2017 Grammy Awards.

The singer, whose new song "Chained To The Rhythm" dropped on Friday, embraced the trend of outrageous red carpet looks that only the GRAMMYs allows for with her unique look.

The top half of her Tom Ford gown featured a high neckline and long sleeves and was covered in muted gold sequins, while the bottom half took a completely different turn with champagne feathers.

She finished off her look with a messy, platinum blonde lob, which the singer called "the last color in all of the Pantone books that I haven't done."

While talking to Ryan Seacrest on the E! Red Carpet, Perry teased what fans can expect from her upcoming album.

"[It's a] new era for me," she said. "I call it an era of purposeful thought."

She's also set to perform her new single during the ceremony and revealed that it would be a slightly different performance from her, as it will be "mostly" just her instead of having a ton of dancers.
