Beyonce makes surprise pregnancy announcement on Instagram

Beyoncé shocked the world yet again on Wednesday by revealing that she's pregnant with twins.

The "Formation" singer shared a photo of herself holding her pregnant belly on Instagram while wearing a green veil, blue underwear and a bra top.

The caption of the photo was written on behalf of her family, the Carters.

"We would like to share our love and happiness," she wrote. "We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. - The Carters"

By "growing by two," Beyoncé is seemingly revealing that she's expecting twins.

These would be Beyoncé's second and third children with her husband, Jay-Z. They already have a 5-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, together.

Before becoming pregnant with Blue, Beyoncé famously went through an emotional struggle to become pregnant and revealed in her HBO documentary, "Life Is But A Dream," that she had suffered a miscarriage.

"I picked out names," said at the time. "I envisioned what my child would look like."

She also revealed in the film that songwriting "was the best form of therapy for me, because it was the saddest thing I've ever been through." Fans of the singer believe that her song, "Heaven," could be one of the songs that was inspired by her devastating experience.

Beyoncé is scheduled to headline Coachella in early April, and it's unclear how her pregnancy will affect whether or not she'll still perform.
