Oscar nominations 2017: See the complete list

Updated

The 2017 Academy Awards are coming up on February 26, and the nominations were finally revealed via a live stream on Tuesday morning.

"La La Land" predictably led the pack with a record-tying 14 nominations ("Titanic" and "All About Eve" also garnered as many nominations), and it will face-off with fellow frontrunner "Moonlight" in the Best Picture category.

The nominations seem to be a win for diverse actors and filmmakers following last year's #OscarsSoWhite controversy, as six black actors were nominated in the acting categories: Viola Davis ("Fences"), Mahershala Ali ("Moonlight"), Octavia Spencer ("Hidden Figures"), Ruth Negga ("Loving"), Denzel Washington ("Fences") and Naomie Harris ("Moonlight").

"Hidden Figures" was also a surprise nominee for Best Picture, while Martin Scorsese's "Silence" was shut out of all major categories.
