The ladies of "Today" show just couldn't keep their hands off of Tongan flagbearer Pita Taufatofua.

The hunky Tongan athlete drew attention on Friday night at the Olympic Opening Ceremonies when he carried in the flag in during the parade of athletes and got oiled up and shirtless in order to complete the important task. Taufatofua's abs and rippling muscles were practically glistening as he carried the flag -- and after the Internet went wild this weekend -- "Today" show hosts Natalie Morales, Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager did the same.

The hosts and weatherman Al Roker did an interview with Pita on Monday morning, and as Roker was chatting with him about hardship and the odds he overcame to get to this Olympiad, the ladies decided they'd slather him up with more oil.

Yes -- they manhandled the athlete on-camera. In one of the most funny yet uncomfortable moments yet this Olympics, the gals pour oil onto their hands and then rub it all over the shirtless athlete. Poor Pita could barely answer Roker's questions as they ladies rubbed his body and cooed over his chiseled chest.

"It took me 20 years to get here," Pita said before he was overcome with laughter at the awkward situation.

Pita is the first athlete from Tonga to ever qualify for the Olympics in Taekwondo.

Later, the gals joined Billy Bush and had Pita teach them some of the fundamentals of the sport. That was about as awkward as their first interview. Watch below!
