Gwyneth Paltrow launches first goop perfume, Winter
If Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle website goop (and everything it stands for) could be described in one word, it would be this: clean.

And now, if you're in the market for a perfume with not a single artificial ingredient, Paltrow's got your back.
Introducing: edition 01 – winter 2016 (oh, and you can enjoy the scent in candle form, too).
"I think fragrance is incredibly powerful, and it's always been a big part of my femininity," Paltrow shared with AOL.com at the launch event for the debut fragrance in New York City Wednesday.
"My mom [actress Blythe Danner] had this discontinued Balenciaga fragrance called Quadrille ... I actually still have an empty perfume bottle of it, the thing still smells of it, and it takes me back."
And if you think Paltrow herself didn't play a huge role in the creation process of her debut scent, think again.

In fact, she learned an incredibly enlightening lesson from goop's head merchant during the beginning stages:
She said, 'Never buy anything that says fragrance on the side. And your daughter shouldn't either. Don't have her put creams on her body that say fragrance, because it's going to disrupt her hormones.' And I was kind of outraged.
She explained, "... Companies can literally put anything, any chemical -- it can be endocrine-disrupting, it can be a probable carcinogen -- and they can put it in there and say, 'No, this is our trade secret, we don't have to disclose what it is.'"
We don't know about you, but we never knew that. Duly noted, indeed.

If you want to know what you're in for before purchasing it, Paltrow explained exactly what she wanted the scent to evoke.
"I really was hoping that we would be able to create a scent that was very vocative of what it's like to be inside in winter -- there would be feelings of fireplaces and leather books and coziness and romance."
We're sold (we did get a sneak peek, so maybe we're biased).
