Mark Consuelos reveals what he knows about the 'Live! With Kelly' co-host search

As the world awaits any kind of announcement about who Kelly Ripa's new "Live! With Kelly" co-host will be, her husband Mark Consuelos is claiming to know nothing about his wife's plans.

During a recent red carpet event, Consuelos was asked if he knew anything about behind-the-scenes developments for "Live!" since, after all, he has appeared a handful of times as a guest co-host with Ripa.

"You have a feeling that I know about 'Live!," he said with a knowing smile. "No, I have no idea!"

Though it may be hard to believe that Consuelos knows absolutely nothing about who his wife wants to replace Michael Strahan as her new co-host, he appeared to be telling the truth.

"Sometimes I think that, um, they could just ... she could," he stumbled over his words, unsure what to say. "I don't know. I don't know. I really don't have a clue."

So, there you have it: Mark Consuelos doesn't know who his wife wants to become a permanent fixture on "Live!"
