The 3-year-old Huff, who gets his name from the noises he makes according to the Huffington Post, was rescued after his original owner no longer wanted to care for him. That's when Carolyn Parker stepped in to take over and has now launched his successful Instagram career.
"I equate his personality to a cuddly old man," Parker told the Huffington Post. "He is grumpy but can be the sweetest when he's cuddled up in an old T-shirt of mine watching TV late at night."
As of this writing, the cute critter only had 89 posts but more than 24,000 followers on Instagram. So what's the secret to his success?
Here's what Huff's human thinks:
"I just love the way he appears to be on the outside, all prickly and tough, but is honestly sweet and lovable on the inside. Like a lot of people! ... I think that's why there is such a large fan base for hedgehogs because people can relate to them."
