Author, model, mom of two and blogger Emma Heming Willis knows what she wants. She's not kidding.

"I have a spreadsheet with all the shops that I like," she says. "I went into Toys R Us and walked out, it was way too much. I'm going with three gifts for each child. It becomes an overload. Last year I went crazy and our Christmas tree looked ridiculous. Less is more."

Here are her perfectly-tailored holiday picks.

Tweed Wolf: "There's this new company I love called Tweed Wolf. You send them a photo library. For Evelyn's first birthday, I sent them the photo library and they curate it and send you back a bound book. I'm doing it for the grandparents."

Moleskine: "Instead of just buying the notebooks you can get them initialed, so that's what I'm doing. I like writing notes."

Kiwicrates: "Kiwicrates are amazing gifts for kids. It's a monthly subscription. I buy a year for cousins or anyone with small kids. They send you a box that has a craft in it."

Ellis Brooklyn: "Candles, I love. There's this new company called Ellis Brooklyn. She does these amazing soy candles with hemp wicks. They're beautifully done."

Birdie: "Our favorite books are the Birdie book series. We love to read in our house. We love all of her books. And Sujean Rim is an amazing illustrator."
