As the inimitable Joan Rivers once told this writer, there is nothing that a dash of lipstick cannot fix. Or at the very least, make better.

She was right. And on that note, we bring you some of our favorite beauty products, just in time for the holidays. Celebs love them. And we can tell you why.

Erno Laszlo sea mud cleansing bar: Kim Kardashian. After a long day at work, this little beauty leaves your face fresh and clear.

Artis brushes: Beyonce. These are gorgeous. These are elegant. And Queen Bey is obsessed with them, her makeup artist Sir John told us. They get the job done. And they look flawless.

Urban Decay naked palette: Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge. These colors work on every complexion -- neutral enough for day, yet dramatic enough for night. And we kinda love the packaging.

Tom Ford Grey Vetiver: Colin Firth. If anyone embodies easy grace, it has to be this British Oscar winner, who always looks sharp – and we now assume, smells just as good, courtesy of Mr. Ford.

CHANEL SUBLIMAGE LA CRÈME TEXTURE SUPRÊME: Jennifer Aniston. This is one of the most luxe products on the market, but trust us – dab on a little, and you will see why A-listers go gaga for it.

Tom Ford lipstick in Wild Ginger: Elizabeth Banks. It takes bravado to pull off a lip that pops, and who better than the star of the "Hunger Games" franchise, a regular red-carpet dazzler in this bright hue.

Dior CC Primer Spray: Taraji P. Henson. Cookie does not mess around on "Empire," and there is a reason the actress playing her always looks so together. You can thank this hero product from Dior.

Lancome Advance Genifique Serum: Kate Winslet. So yes, she is one of the faces of Lancome but who cares when the serum she promotes really is that amazing in real life. And for the record, with Winslet, what you see is what you get -- meaning, zero cosmetic surgery.

SK-II Facial Treatment Essence: Cate Blanchett. The one and only Blanchett is hooked on this product. She is also the face of the brand, and when you meet her in person, she is actual living proof that yes, it works.

Sisley Essential Skincare Lotion: Rosamund Pike. The "Gone Girl" Oscar nominee has skin so smooth, so silky, so flawless, you want to raid her beauty closet. Pike uses pretty much the entire Sisley skincare line, but especially this lotion.

Tata Harper Revitalizing Body Oil: Gwyneth Paltrow. We defy you to try any product created by Tata Harper and not swoon. But truly, there is no better way to wake up in the morning than with a splash of this scent-sational product.

Fresh Creme Ancienne eye cream: Jemima Kirke. The star of "Girls" digs this delicate concoction, which wakes up and soothes tired orbs.

Nurse Jamie Beauty Bear™ Age Delay Pillow: Rita Ora. Sure, this looks weird. We get it. But you will get the best night of sleep ever on this deliciously comfortable creation.
