16-year-old stabbed in the heart by 3 teens after Facebook feud

A 16-year-old schoolboy was reportedly stabbed in the heart and left for dead by his peer and two other attackers over comments he posted on Facebook. He suffered serious stab wounds to his chest, stomach and back and barely survived the incident.

The teen and his two friends were allegedly attacked by Anthony Swainbank, 16, Swainbank's cousin Scott Fergie, 18, and Matthew McLeod, 18. The incident occurred in march. Now, the three young men have been sent to jail for a total of 25 years after being found guilty of multiple charges.

The three attackers reportedly approached the victims with knives and a knuckle duster at Plantation Woods. It all started when Swainbank told Fergie that the boy had been bullying him on Facebook and that Swainbank and one of the boy's friends had gotten into a Facebook argument the night before. Threats were reportedly exchanged during said argument.

Fergie recruited McLeod in his quest to attack the three boys allegedly bullying his cousin. Fergie messaged McLeod asking, "are you game for stomping on a few gimps' heads?"

Swainbank told the jury that while the three attackers were planning to meet their victims, McLeod gave Swainbank a pen knife and told him not to hesitate to use it. Swainbank allegedly stabbed the schoolboy in the chest. The knife penetrated the boy's heart sac, leaving him in a dangerous state.

Fergie allegedly punched one of the victims in the head with a knuckle duster. In addition, McLeod reportedly stabbed the schoolboy in the back and one of his friend's in the leg. According to the boy, had passers-by not come to his rescue, he likely would have died.

The boy had his chest opened up during surgery and metal plates were inserted to hold it together. Now, the boy can no longer participate in sports or other strenuous activity. He has reportedly given up his lifelong dream of becoming a fitness instructor. He was also left with scars all over his body. He said:
