NBC thought "Friends" wouldn't do well at all, but maybe it was because they didn't have hamsters.

Just when you though the Internet couldn't get any better, it did.


The lovely folks over at Mashable thought about something that plagues the pop culture zeitgeist: why weren't there any hamsters in "Friends?" Okay, so no one probably thought about that; however, that doesn't mean we should just forget about it all together!

"Friends" is one of the most beloved sitcoms in the history of popular television, so why not pay homage with hamsters. Courtesy of Mashable's Watercooler, hamsters play the part of all the "Friends" characters, except for David Schwimmer's Ross; however, it's still adorable.
