Alice + Olivia heats up with Wild West inspired Spring/Summer 2016 collection

Updated

Period trends show no signs of stopping this season. While designers like Diane Von Furstenberg decided to channel more haute looks from the '70s Studio 57 era, Alice + Olivia went full-on Wild West.

Stacey Bendet, the renaissance woman behind the designs, took each of her pieces straight off of the runway and into the desert during her Spring/Summer 2016 presentation. Denim made a big appearance, with looks solely focused on the fabric from head-to-toe. Embroidered high-waisted, flared jeans were the show stopper, with detailed red flowers infusing a sense of Spanish flare.

Other incredible outfits included a black and white pinstripe suit, an all khaki fringed ensemble, and a crocheted dress which featured bright circles and a simple cuffed sleeve.

Gold accessories, including lace-up gladiators and leaf arm cuffs, matched the makeup look for the day. Models were given a dewy, natural face and nude lip. The big makeup statement were the models gold-encrusted eye shadow.

AOL got the exclusive chance to head backstage to see all the action -- and one thing we could not get enough of was the perfectly teased ponytails with a small accent braid.

The reception of the presentation was unparalleled. Celebs like Kourtney Kardashain, Victoria Justice, and dozens of others stepped out in support of Bendet's latest designs.

If half of Hollywood is freaking out over these pieces, we think it's safe to consider the line a complete success.
