Miss Honduras and her adult sister were found dead Wednesday morning by a river bank.

Maria Jose Alvarado, 19, and sister Sofia Trinidad, 23, went missing Thursday after leaving a party, according to reports. Police have now found their bodies.

Four people -- including Trinidad's boyfriend, Plutarco Antonio Ruiz -- are being questioned in their deaths, sources told the BBC. Another suspect has been named as Aris Maldonado.

"Both are being questioned as part of the investigation into the disappearance of [María José Alvarado] and her sister," a police official told the Independent. "We hope to establish what role they may have played."

There is also a "protected witness," according to the BBC.

Both men were the last to see the women before they went missing, according to the Independent.

Also seized from the suspects were a vehicle and weapons, the BBC is reporting.

The bodies were found near the River Aguagua, an official told the BBC, adding: "We are 100% sure that it's them."

Alvarado was due to fly Wednesday to London for the Miss World beauty pageant.

Honduras is statistically the most dangerous country in the world.

About 90 out of every 100,000 people are murdered in the Central American nation, according to the United Nations.

Chicago residents, long considered to be living in America's most dangerous city, are murdered at a rate of seven out of every 100,000, according to the FBI.
