Do you know what 'Jenny' from 'Forrest Gump' looks like today?
Forrest: 'I don't recall what I got for my first Christmas, I don't know when I went on my first outdoor picnic, but I do remember the first time I heard the sweetest voice in the whole wide world.'
Jenny: 'You can sit here if ya want.'
Forrest: 'I had never seen anything so beautiful in my life. She was like an angel.'
Jenny: 'Well ya gonna sit down or aren't ya?'
We all remember the blue-eyed, slightly disheveled little girl who played the role of young Jenny in the legendary 1994 drama-romance starring Tom Hanks.
Though Jenny, played by actress Hanna R. Hall, was never able to love the earnest but limited Forrest the way she wished she could, Jenny did love Forrest as much as her damaged heart would allow.
That aside, little Jenny's story of childhood abuse left an imprint on the souls of young and mature viewers alike, but where is she now?
According to IMDB, the 5-foot-6 actress, now 30-years-old, is still acting as well as assistant directing, and has taken recognized roles in The Virgin Suicides (1999) and Halloween (2007). Full filmography below, courtesy of Wikipedia:
In an interview with Yahoo's Michael Yo, who caught up with Hall for The Yo Show a few years ago, Hall said that she, then 10 years old, had 'no concept' of how big "Forrest Gump" would be.
She also said that people still recognize her on the street -- but more in a 'I know you from somewhere' kind of way.
"Mostly it's like people think I look familiar, like 'Oh did I go to high school with you?'' IBTimes wrote.
Hall also said most ask her to utter 'Run, Forrest! Run!' when they meet her, but that she rarely does.
'The funniest is like just walking down the street and hear[ing] someone yell it to their friend, having no idea that I'm standing right there, and I'm like, she laughed, That was me.'
But, apart from her filming stints, it seems Hall went on to live a relatively typical life.
Hall's family moved to Colorado when she was 2, where she grew up and later attended boarding school, Colorado Rocky Mountain School, in Carbondale.
When she was 18, Hall moved to Hawaii for college. Before permanently settling in LA, she lived in Vancouver for a year as well to attend Vancouver Film School, where she completed a program in film production and became 'committed to committing professional suicide by directing underground theater.'
Of her home state, Hall says, 'Colorado is so beautiful and I love being able to go back there. The city is difficult to live in sometimes, but it's nice to be able to go back and be in the great outdoors.'
