Trump reacts to speculation he leaked his own tax return: 'Certainly not from the White House'
President Donald Trump called the recent leak of two pages of his 2005 tax returns a "disgrace" during an interview on FOX News Wednesday night. The president also rejected recent speculation Trump himself or someone in the administration leaked the documents on purpose.
"Well, certainly not from the White House that I can tell you," said Trump when FOX News anchor Tucker Carlson asked if he knew where the tax returns came from.

"This guy has been following me for 25 years and he's not much," the president said of Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist David Cay Johnston who says he found the two pages from Trump's 2005 tax return in his mailbox before bringing them to MSNBC.

"I have no idea where they got it but it's illegal. And you're not supposed to have it. And it's not supposed to be leaked," said Trump.
The president didn't seem overly upset with the leak saying, "It's certainly not an embarrassing tax return."
"But it's an illegal thing. They've been doing it, they've done it before and I think it's a disgrace."
Trump also spoke briefly about tax reform during the interview. "People are paying too high a tax," said the president.
"I'm gonna try and get to the 15 percent level for business. I think we will probably be a little higher than that. But we are going to try and get the 15 percent."
