Playboy's Cooper Hefner talks the weirdness of seeing your mom naked

Cooper Hefner's mom has got it goin' on. And he was reminded of it every time he studied in his home library.

Cooper, the now 25-year-old son of Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner, acknowledges the discomfort of encountering a giant framed nude portrait of his mother every time he entered the room. "Yeah, that was weird," he told the Hollywood Reporter. "It was like the elphant in the room."

For his friends and other visitors, though, it was likely a welcome sight: Cooper's mom is 1989 Playmate of the Year Kimberley Conrad -- who, by the way, is still a knockout at age 55.

Years later and now the chief creative officer of Playboy Enterprises, Cooper has fully gotten over any reservations about his not-so-reserved mom. "On Mother's Day, I asked her if she would be interested in reshooting her original cover," he said -- and she obliged, as did several other bunnies of years past.

He's not only overseen risque photoshoots of his mom: His fiance, actress Scarlett Byrne, also posed nude for a recent issue. The two met six years ago, after Cooper developed a crush on her as Pansy Parkinson in the "Harry Potter" movies. Scout Willis, the daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi More, facilitated an introduction, and magic -- not of the wizard variety -- ensued.

Other tidbits from the interview provide a glimpse into the complexities of the Hefner family. Cooper often seeks business advice from his half-sister Christie, who at 64 is more than twice his age and was the long-running president and CEO of Playboy Enterprises.

He seemingly does not, however, work closely with brother Marston, who is much closer to him in age at 27. Marston was arrested in February 2012 for a domestic violence incident involving a Playmate girlfriend. "My dad was public about wanting us to run the organization together, but it became evident as we got older that it was not something that spoke to him," Cooper said cryptically, leaving room for others put the pieces together.
