Promoting his stand-up special, which was directed and produced by Louis C.K. himself, Barry Crimmins dishes on what it was like participating in his first stand-up. "It was like doing a set on TV, but longer. The people were great, the audience was amazing, there's not much more you could ask for."

The comedian, activist, and political satirist goes on to explain how he ended up meeting Louis in the first place, wishing he signed him right on the spot! "I knew him when he would come into comedy clubs at 17 or 18-years-old. He was a pretty precocious guy, he really was peppering me with questions, and he was really funny."

After discussing how the landscape of comedy has changed over the years, Crimmins believes that there are more comics than ever, and they are all so talented. "When I started, you really had to want to do it. Now, you could study it in college, go online and become a star. There are so many good, funny younger people."

Crimmins also remembers how tough it was, but gave some really great advice: "If someone could talk you out of doing comedy, you shouldn't be doing it."
