When you're watching a runway show or waiting for your favorite stars to step onto the red carpet, there's nothing quite like a dress that makes you gasp out loud when you see it. It's our favorite part -- and honestly why we love fashion so much -- because it has the ability to take your breath away over and over again.

The Met Gala is always one of the most exciting red carpets of the year, because designers and celebrities aren't afraid to go all out (Katy Perry in Prada, case in point!). This year's theme didn't disappoint when it came to the wild and wacky, but it also didn't disappoint when it came to the ultra glamorous and gorgeous.
