Mayim Bialik Honors Her Dad's Memory With Touching Critics' Choice Speech

Cue the tears!

Mayim Bialik accepted her first award ever for her knee-slapping role in "Big Bang Theory" Sunday night -- and ended her impromptu, unplanned speech with a tear-jerking remark.

The star, who plays scientist and Sheldon's love interest, Amy, on the hit CBS show, was totally taken aback by her win after going home empty-handed year after year.

"I literally didn't expect to be up here. The reason I look so surprised is because I've never won anything before," she said in her unplanned acceptance speech.

She didn't stop there. The actress had us wiping away tears when she revealed why the award might be extra important to her this year.

"My dad died nine months ago, and he was my harshest critic, and he never lived to see me win anything. So Abba -- this is for you," she said.
