The much anticipated Givenchy SS 2016 runway show certainly did not disappoint the crowd with sets designed by performance artist Marina Abramovic, major celebrities in the crowd (hello Kim K. and Kanye), uniquely ornate full face masks, "real" people invitations and of course the fashion.

The trends we've been seeing all this NYFW continued at Givenchy with feminine lace chiffon and silk dresses in black and white. The more conservative looks were decidedly very french in its chicness and femininity. Slip dresses and tops in sheer lace were so pretty and delicate that you can wear them from the bar to the boudoir. And long asymmetrical tunics over slacks were a new and refreshing take on a classic look. The more daring looks were absolutely breathtaking.

Gorgeous coats with gold beading, gowns with sheer tulle and colorful tassels, and of course those uniquely glamorous full beaded face masks that reminded you of something a modern day Marie Antoinette would wear. Definitely not for the common-folk. The show was pretty, fashion-forward and absolutely awe-inspiring-everything you expect from Givenchy.
