Captain Jack Sparrow to the rescue!

All pirates don't have to be mean and that certainly isn't the case for Captain Jack Sparrow. Johnny Depp recently dressed up as his famed Disney character from "Pirates of the Caribbean," and visited a local children's hospital in Australia.

Children at Cilento Children's Hospital were all smiles when they saw Captain Jack Sparrow walk through the doors. Depp was spotted in several photos giving children hugs and taking photos. The 52-year-old actor is on location in Australia filming the latest flick in the swashbuckling franchise.

A few years back, Depp actually told E! News that he travels with his costume for this exact reason.

'I'll just sneak in and go and surprise a bunch of kiddies through the different wards...It basically turns into a two-, three-hour improvisation and it's really fun. So I travel with Captain Jack."
