Julianna Margulies Reveals Her 'Good Wife' Wig Costs $10K

Julianna Margulies has always rocked some of the best hairstyles in Hollywood -- but the actress' curly locks aren't quite right for her character on "The Good Wife." And as it turns out, it cost the show's producers a pretty penny to do something about it.

"That's a wig," said Julianna Margulies on the "Late Show," looking at a photo of herself from the show.

"No, it's not," said David Letterman.

"Isn't that a good wig?" said Julianna.

"That's fantastic," said Dave.

"Ten grand. That wig cost ten grand," said Dave.

"Ten grand," Julianna confirmed.

"Whoa! Whoa!" said Dave.

You heard right -- Julianna wears a whopping $10,000 on her pretty little head for every episode.

She told David Letterman it's so valuable because it's made of real hair, and it was created to match her exact hairline and everything -- and Julianna doesn't mind wigging out for "The Good Wife" at all.
In fact, she told Sundance TV she prefers it because it saves her a lot of precious time.

She once said, "I wanted her to have a little bit of that WASPy look to her and I'm a Jew with curly hair, and I know that that takes two hours every morning in the makeup chair."

It's safe to say that Julianna has been using every second of those extra two hours. New episodes of "The Good Wife" premiere March 1 on CBS, and the show was recently renewed for yet another season.
