Zooey Deschanel, Jonathan Scott Explain Why They Still Haven't Set a Wedding Date

Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott have been together for four years, and this past summer, the two announced they were engaged to be married. But as far as wedding planning goes, they're not in any rush.

"We don't know when we're getting married yet," Deschanel, 43, told E! News during ELLE's Women in Hollywood Celebration in Los Angeles on Tuesday, Dec. 5. "We're just enjoying being engaged right now."

While their plans for their big day may be up in the air right now, Scott, 45, previously shared that he really wants to have a bagpipe performance–though his soon-to-be wife is not on board with it.

Still, they have some time to figure it out. As for right now, they're simply having a blast preparing for the upcoming winter holidays, with Deschanel telling the outlet that they plan on "just hanging out with family, cooking."

"So that will be fun," she added.

Though she didn't mention it, we can only presume at least one viewing of Elf will be on the table as Scott has already proved he's her biggest fan by dressing up as her character Jovie–blonde wig and everything–before recreating some of his favorite scenes from the film.

The She & Him singer and Property Brothers star first went public with their engagement in August and celebrated the happy news with a romantic trip to Paris.

This will be the second wedding for Scott, as he was previously married to Kelsy Ully, and the third for Deschanel, who was married to film producer Jacob Pechenik–with whom she shares two young children with, daughter Elsie, 8, and son Charlie, 6–and Death Cab for Cutie's Ben Gibbard.
