Zendaya Makes a Moody, Villainous Return to the 2024 Met Gala

It’s been five years since Zendaya’s enchanting appearance on the red carpet for the 2019 “Camp: Notes on Fashion” Met Gala, where the former Disney darling channeled her inner princess and debuted in a color-changing Cinderella gown. Well, she’s finally made her return to the 2024 Met Gala, this time as a co-chair–and Disney villain?
Honoring the Costume Institute’s 2024 theme, The Garden of Time, the Met Gala co-chair waltzed onto the carpet in an alluring, custom archival Maison Margiela Artisanal by John Galliano gown that looks as if she stepped straight out of the Garden of Eden. Her one-shoulder dress, dipped in forest green and navy stripes, featured a mermaid tail and delicate leaf motifs throughout.
On the beauty tip, Zendaya opted for a completely opposite color palette. Upping the sultriness a bit more, the actress chose a deep berry smokey eye on the lids and waterline and traded her signature fluffy brows for thinner ones. She punctuated the makeup with glossy berry lips and a light flush of blush. Her hair, still in the midst of her Challengers promo tour, was tucked under a green veil with floral adornments, adding a whimsical touch to her overall look.
